Much as Summer feels like a distant memory, the last few weeks have flown by. Blink and it’ll be October Half-Term! Here are some of my suggestions for family days out and Halloween fun. Look out for a competition on my social media!

Pumpkins
It’s simply not Halloween without picking a pumpkin!
Maze Moon is our favourite place to pick your own pumpkins and Castle Farm is a lovely local farm shop with a large array to choose from.
I have a competition for free tickets to Riverhill Gardens which is a great choice, check out my socials for details of how to enter. Pick your own or take one along and they’ll supply the tools. It’s not just for kids either, I’ve spotted a Prosecco and pumpkins evening for the adults!
For more Halloween fun, Lullingstone Country Park is hosting ‘Spooky stories by candle light‘.

Tasty treats!
Waiting in for the trick or treaters? I love the look of these Halloween sweet treats from Crofton Bakery for your own little monsters.
Dolloween
Dolly Donuts is a must visit for a treat over Half-Term. Choose your donut flavour or milkshake or ice your own donut!
Mickey Mouse is visiting ‘Halloween style’ on October 25th and they are already taking Christmas bookings for elf visits on 27/29th November! (You’ll thank me later).
WhatsApp them on 07895 146884 to book.

Finishing touches
Going ‘Out’ out? Why not finish off your Halloween costume with some spooky nail art? I loved the look of these from local nail therapist Bee Beauty.
Days out
Looking to fill a day out with the family? Eltham Palace is a great shout with plenty of fun things to do all over half term. Hever Castle has Halloween Trails, ghost stories, face painting and a free garlic planting workshop to ward off those vampires.. just in case!
Leeds Castle is worth a visit, there are lots of activities included in your admission ticket and Groombridge Place have teamed up with Once Upon a Wish Events to take you on a magical adventure starting with essential training at witch and wizard school.
Do tag BR6Life in your social posts about local events and activities, I’d love to hear about your Half-Term fun!
