We are so lucky to have so many wonderful businesses in and around the BR6 Postcode area, here is a little round up of some, you may recognise some of them as they featured in the BR6Life social advent calendar. You can also find plenty more over on our Business Directory on our website.
Introducing you to author Allison Parkinson who writes stories that celebrate diversity for children. Not only does she write the books she also illustrates them too, Allison is also a writer and proofreader for companies, charities and organisations.
Looking to connect with other local business owners then why not visit one of the 12.30 Woman’s Company meetings, with various locations in and around the area to choose from as well as online. Jackie Groundsell the lady behind 1230WC also hosts a weekly radio show, why not tune in.

Slip over a table and watch the children’s imagination play start. This cloth is also ideal for hot summer days as it can be used as shelter from the sun. Let me introduce you to Megan Blake Photography. Megan is a friendly and very talented local photographer putting both children and adults at ease whilst photographing them. Megan has a huge talent for equine photography as well as pets, (she has taken some beautiful ones of our dog). She has recently just branched into event photography too. We can’t forget the children, and there is a fantastic sale on at the moment at The baby Rack – a gorgeous baby boutique in the heart of Hayes. From new born to 12 years, the clothes are beautiful. There are also some gifts for mum in there too!
Our list would not be complete with another of our local favourites – Sweet Pea Florist. Sweet Pea can be found in Farnborough Village, a beautiful florist shop with unique designs for weddings, funerals, christenings and other occasions. All the flowers are fresh from the markets and of high quality. Sweet Pea are huge supporters of BR6Life and sponsor our monthly Flower Friday feature where we surprise a local resident as a thank you for their love, support and hard work for the local area – unsung heroes.
