The Bakehouse is the new concept from Bromley College bringing the catering students to the real life of the catering industry.

Opening the doors at 8am The Bakehouse starts the day offering a competitively priced

‘Breakfast Deal’

Bacon/Sausage buttie -( with or without sauce!)

Pastry

with any hot drink

just for £2.50

 

A wonderful range of cakes and pastries are available throughout the day, all freshly made and prepared on site by the students.

Lunchtime sees another fantastic ‘meal deal’ along side a varying and changeable sandwich menu and light dishes for example quiche, salads and lasagne. These often are in keeping with the local theme i.e the Orpington Chicken salad.

Along with the pastries and cakes being made on site, so is the bread, also on sale for around £2.50 choose from Soda, white, wholemeal and keeping in with the local theme Walnut and Date! (bread choices can differ daily).

The Bakehouse also sells local Kent produce including jams, ciders, wines and deli items. Take a bottle of local wine, make up a ‘local produce’ hamper or take an array of local ales to a friend next time you are visiting- a great way to champion our local area.

The Bakehouse is a great asset to our local area whilst the students are learning they are also getting hands on experience in the real life catering industry. We look forward to when the building work has finished around Brunswick Square, as the outside eating area looks to be just as well planned and designed as the interior.
