Local Networking Events

I’m often asked about recommendations for networking events for local business owners. Here are a selection that I have tried and tested.

The Womens Company

From £21 for TWC mmbers

Launched in 2002, 1230 The Women’s Company (1230 TWC) provides on and off-line networking opportunities across the UK and overseas at local level.

This dynamic networking business helps businesswomen make the connections and find the support needed in business lives; to meet locally in the Business High Street, share experiences and work together to grow business through regular vibrant, buzzy networking meetings.

1230 TWC also provides training and learning through workshops and guest speakers, an annual conference and charity supporting events.

1230 TWC ORPINGTON meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. For more information or to book, go to https://1230.co.uk/calendar/

Ladies Who Latte – Bromley

Ladies Who Latte was set up by Mary Flavelle to support business women by example and inspiration. Their concept is simple. There are no speakers, no agenda, and no meeting fee.

Ladies Who Latte will help you to get more inspiration, meet people just like you who understand how you feel as a business owner and may even become clients,  collaborators or friends.

As host, Denise Meade-Hill and her team Lauretta Wright and Angela Hulm looks forward to welcoming you!

They meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 10am-12pm at South Street Cafe in Community House, South Street.

Latte Leader for Bromley is Jane Bennett, jane@essential-woman.com.

You can contact Jane by email or on 07990 560671 if you are interested in attending this group, but you are welcome to just turn up.

Beckenham Business Association

From free, annual membership £40 (from Feb 2023)

Beckenham Business Association brings together local businesses from across the Bromley borough to connect and collaborate through networking events in Beckenham.

They meet for online and in-person networking every couple of months and organise the annual Beckenham Business Day in November, a one day conference aimed at helping you develop and grow your business.

Membership costs just £40 a year and for that you get discounts on tickets to their events, opportunities to speak at events and share your expertise, and a member listing on their website. You don’t have to be based in Beckenham to join; you simply need to have customers or potential customers there.

A not-for-profit organisation, they are run by volunteers who are all local business owners.
